Steve Downes

Steve Downes is an American voice actor and radio broadcaster best known as Master Chief in the Halo series, a role he has played since Halo: Combat Evolved in 2001.

His other work includes Star-Lord in The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and Septerra Core, the game whose casting led to Halo.

Born in Columbus, Ohio in 1950, he spent 44 years in radio, including evening drive at KLOS from 1982 to 1991 and mornings at Chicago's 97.1 WDRV.
