Danny Elfman

Danny Elfman is an American composer and songwriter best known for the main title theme to The Simpsons and for his score to Tim Burton's Batman, whose title theme won a Grammy for Best Instrumental Composition.

His other work includes decades of scores for Tim Burton, and his years as lead singer and songwriter of the new wave band Oingo Boingo from 1979 to 1995.

Born in Los Angeles in 1953, he moved from rock songwriting into film scoring in the mid-1980s.
