Drop-Off Terms
These terms apply when you buy a signing service online and bring your own item to the convention for us to have signed. They are in addition to our Terms of Service.
This is not a ticket. A drop-off order is not entry to the convention and it is not an appearance with your guest. You are ordering a service: you hand your own item to us at our drop-off point, we take it to be signed, and you collect it afterwards. You will not meet the talent as part of this order.
Dropping off and collecting
Bring your item to the Signet drop-off table in the Crystal Palace, by Registration, open Wednesday to Saturday, 10am–6pm. You don't need a convention badge to drop off or collect — the drop-off point is before the badge-controlled entrance.
Each guest has their own drop-off deadline and their own collection day — both are shown on the listing and repeated in your confirmation email. We'll email you when your item is ready to collect.
Your item stays in our care from the moment you hand it over until you collect it.
The final deadline — 5pm Sunday
Whatever your guest's collection day is, every item must be collected from the drop-off point by 5pm on Sunday, when the show closes.
If you don't collect it
If your item is still with us at 5pm Sunday, we'll pack it up and post it back to you. We'll let you know shortly after the show, and the cost of return shipping plus a per-item fee of $50.00 ($75.00 for a large prop) will be invoiced to you. Your item ships once that's paid — please allow 4–6 weeks from the end of the show.
That fee covers the unplanned work an uncollected item creates: it has to travel home from the convention with our own freight, take up space we hadn't allowed for, then be stored, repacked and posted to you individually once the show is over. We'd much rather hand you your item at the drop-off point.
Items that can't be collected at the show
If you add CGC grading or encapsulation, your item goes to CGC after the signing and cannot be collected at the convention. The same applies to a JSA letter of authenticity, which is issued afterwards. In both cases we'll post your item to you and you'll pay shipping at checkout — no left-behind fee applies, because you chose to have it sent.
If your guest doesn't sign
Signings can be affected by cancellations, delays and schedule changes outside our control. If your guest doesn't sign your item, you'll receive a full refund and your item is returned to you at the drop-off point.
If your item has to be shipped back to you instead, the handling fee and return shipping still apply — those costs are incurred whether or not a signature happened.
While we're holding your item
We photograph every item when we take it in, and record any damage that is already there, so both of us have the same record. You'll be asked to sign for what you hand over, and we'll email you a copy of that record with the photographs.
Items left with us are covered by our existing Personal Item Policy and Terms of Service, which apply to this order in full. We don't accept liability beyond what those set out.
