Billy Boyd

Billy Boyd is a Scottish actor and musician best known as Peregrin "Pippin" Took in The Lord of the Rings film trilogy.

His other work includes Barret Bonden in Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, Glen and Glenda in Seed of Chucky, and Gerald Forbes in Outlander. He wrote the melody for and sang "The Edge of Night" in The Return of the King, and wrote and performed "The Last Goodbye" for the end credits of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.

Born in Glasgow in 1968, he worked as a bookbinder before training at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.
