Kevin Eastman

Kevin Eastman is an American comic book writer and artist best known as the co-creator, with Peter Laird, of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

He bought Heavy Metal magazine in 1992 and served as its publisher for more than two decades, founded Tundra Publishing in 1990, and returned to the Turtles in 2011 as a writer and artist on IDW's comic series.

Born in Portland, Maine in 1962, he and Laird self-published the first black-and-white Turtles comic in May 1984 through their Mirage Studios.
